FREE Moon Rise/Sunset Soup & Chili Cross Country Ski Socials Mar.2nd 4-7 PM
The Pagosa Nordic Club invites you to join them for their fun moonrise/sunset soup & chili family X-C Ski socials. Show up anytime between 4pm & 7pm and ski the groomed trails enjoying an easy ski under the colorful skies then meet back at the parking lot to enjoy homemade soup & chili and socialize next to campfire with hot cocoa and s'mores. (You may bring something to share though not required) A great activity for families, and skiers of all ages and abilities. Dress warm and bring your head lamps or flashlights.
Pagosa PAW Dog Sled and canine ski- jouring races this weekend!

The race is on. Come join the Pagosa Nordic Club and Colorado Mountain Mushers for the 2nd Annual Pagosa Paw on February 25th and 26th – this weekend! This winter dog sports event includes spectacular dog sled racing combined with Nordic skiing. Races start at 9AM both days and include a 6-dog/ 6 mile sled race; 4-dog/4-mile sled race; 3-mile skijor race (dog pulls you on skis); 3-mile cani-cross race (dog pulls you on snowshoes) and 3-mile freight event. (simulates a trapline where dogs pick up weight at various points and haul back to the start) There is also a sportsman class offering a1-mile course for those who want to try the sport of racing with your dog. Dogs love this event and yours will too. CASH PRIZES are awarded for competitive entries (based on a combined score for racing both days) and ribbons for sportsman participants along with a drawing for additional prizes.Races will be held at the Kuhn Ranch in Pagosa Springs located eight miles north on Piedra Road from US Hwy 160. Look for the red barn at Roush Drive. The Kuhn Ranch provides a great venue for racers and spectators,with excellent views of the entire course with Pagosa Peak as the backdrop. First annual Pagosa Springs Quad Challenge.
10km skate ski or 5 km classic ski at the West Fork Nordic ski area, 5 km run, 20km bike to town and 1 km swim at the Springs Resort.
